A huge thanks to everyone who joined us at the Club Social on Saturday 11th February in the Anner Hotel Thurles , a great night thoroughly enjoyed by all. On the night we held a raffle in aid of the Dillon Quirke Foundation in which we raised over €900 , in conjunction with the long puck competition we have now raised a total of €1500 for the Dillon Quirke Foundation. This would not have been possible without peoples generosity so a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic cause. Our raffle winners on the night were , James Kirby – Bowe Travel Voucher, Paddy Gahan – Anner Hotel Voucher, Sheena Tarrant – Supervalu Hamper sponsored by Dermot Coffey . Also special thanks to Ronan Maher Tipperary Senior Hurler who was our guest speaker on the night.

Huge Congratulations must go to Cashel Community School on their historic victory in the Harty Cup Final on Sunday 5th February vs CBS Thurles in Semple Stadium💙💛 a first ever Harty final win for the school, a day that will go down in the history books for sure 🏆… well done to all our club members on the panel on such a momentous occasion 💙💛 from all at Boherlahan Dualla

Boherlahan Dualla Juvenile Club:

After a short winter break, Juvenile training is back for the older groups. U13s and 15s got the season going with a hurlball tournament in early January which was a big success. U17s are training on Monday nights, u15s on Thursdays and Saturdays while U13s are training on Tuesdays and Saturdays. U11 training will return on Saturday February 18th and U9s will be back on February 25th. U7s plan to return on March 18th.

Boherlahan Dualla Ladies Football Club:

🚨Calling all mothers in Boherlahan Dualla 🚨

🧑We are in the process of reviving Boherlahan Dualla Gaelic 4 Mother's & Others (G4M&O) team. 🧑

We have a lady who is a personal trainer🧘‍♀️ who would be willing to take the group for strength and conditioning training 💪for 30 mins ⏰and then we could do football (skills/drills etc) for the other 30 mins⌚

The astro slot currently available on the astro is from 8-9pm on a Sunday evening.... However we could use the hall from 7.30 - 8pm and then go out to the astro for 30 mins...

What we need now is to know if people are interested in the above and then organise a meeting for new /old members and go from there.

Can you please give Orla 087 9782910📲 a text if you are interested in going back to football or starting from scratch⚽. She will add you to a whats app group📋 and go from there. Our plan is to hold a meeting possibly next Sunday re same( yet to be confirmed)
.
Yours in sport,💙💛

Boherlahan Dualla GAA Club:

A special thanks to everyone who came and supported/took part in the Long Puck Competition Friday 3rd February in aid of the Dillon Quirke Foundation 💙💛 A very worthy cause ... This foundation was set up in honour of the late Dillon Quirke who collapsed and died of SADS on the 5th of August 2022 in Semple Stadium Thurles. He was playing hurling for his club Clonoulty-Rossmore in the Tipperary championship.

Sudden adult death syndrome (SADS) takes 100 young lives in Ireland every year. Our aim is to raise awareness and save lives by screening every GAA player both male and female from the age of 12 upwards.

Club Lotto:

There was 1 winner of Monday night’s jackpot (13/02/2023) of €6,000 , Kevin Wallace, West Meadows Boherlahan, Congratulations Kevin! The winning numbers were 3-12-16-28. Next week’s jackpot will be €5,000 and will take place Monday 20th February at 9pm on Facebook Live. Thanks for your continued support.

Supporting the lotto each and every week means so much to our club and our community. From as little as €2 per week, our lotto covers the costs for the upkeep and maintenance of our pitches and facilities including the walkway. It is raising funds for our complex redevelopment as we seek to expand and modernise for our ever growing club and also help with the increasing costs of electricity bills.
