Boherlahan Dualla GAA
FBD Insurance Junior B Football Championship Final
Kilruane MacDonaghs 1-11
Boherlahan Dualla 0-10
Last Saturday afternoon our attempt to win the Junior B Football Championship came up short when we lost out to Kilruane MacDonaghs who were looking to do a Hurling & Football double. Coincidentally, a feat we achieved some 26 years ago.
Played in near ideal conditions for the time of the year, the Boherlahan Dualla team showed great heart and determination all through the game. Early exchanges were tight enough with points exchange from Seamie Leahy and Eoin Moloughney showing for the Sash. Then, just before half time a long ball in to the Kilruane full forward line wasn’t dealt with properly and the ball fell to their corner forward who volleyed on the ball from just inside the large square to score a goal which wouldn’t have been out of place at the World Cup. That left the score at half time 1-7 to 0-5.
We started the second half brightly and three unanswered points from Seamie, Eoin and Tossy Ryan reduced the deficit to just two. In the 45th minute Mark Downey was through on goal only for his effort to be blocked down by a last gasp tackle from Niall O’Meara. The Kilruane goalie was alert in the goals making a couple of great saves. Try as we might, we couldn’t bridge the gap and Kilruane did enough to hold us off.

Boherlahan Dualla Camoige Club
What a celebration of camogie we had on Saturday 26th of November as we presented our camogie stars of 2022 with their medals in Dualla Community Hall. It has been an amazing year for our Camogie Club. 💙💛
We were absolutely honoured to have the Tipperary Senior Hurling Manager Liam Cahill with us to present the medals. Thank you so much to Liam for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us and also for his inspirational words and advice to our camogie players on the night. 🥇🥇
Thanks so much to Dermot O'Halloran for capturing so many lovely images throughout the evening. 📷📷
