Seamus Leahy gave a lifetime of service to our club. Following on the footsteps of his grandfather Tom, who was a key administrator in both the legendary Tubberadora team and the formation of the first Boherlahan club in 1912 and his father Tomas, who was a long serving club secretary. Seamus was on the successful U15 team that won County honours in 1956 and graduated to adult level where he continued to be a key player for many years, unluckily losing Co Junior success in 1971.

He served as selector on many teams and on club committees and was a proud club chairman when the Mid Tipperary senior title was won in 1995, bringing the Johnny Leahy Cup to the parish for the first and only time to date.

He was also club treasurer for many years and was a valued and steady influence on many of us when sound advice was needed and as well as being club vice president. His son, Seamie, is currently captain of our Intermediate team, continuing the Leahy tradition in our club.

As a mark of a respect the Tricolour will be flying at half-mast at the GAA Grounds and the Juvenile AGM will be deferred until Thursday 15th December. On behalf of the Boherlahan Dualla GAA Club, we would like extend sympathy to Seamie and Isobel and extended Leahy family.

Leaba i measc na naomh dó agus go soilsí solas na bhFlaitheas ar a anam, uasal, dilís.
