Today wasn't to be for our great Intermediate Team & Mentors. They battled hard and fought to the very end. All was left on the pitch, no more could be done. As a club we are so proud of your achievements. Today's county final only happened as a result of all the hard work & commitment throughout the season. The girls, Richie, Ray & Trisha have had many a victory to secure their spot at the top level of Intermediate Tipperary Ladies Football. This in itself is a massive success and even though the win wasn't achieved today, there is so much to celebrate & move forward from. To the players, thank you for representing your club so well and provided us supporters with top class sporting entertainment over the season. To the management team Ray, Richie & Trisha - your investment, dedication & support of this great bunch of girls is evident day in day out. On behalf of the committee thank you so much. Boherlahan Dualla GAA Club

Mid U19B Football Championship final

Boherlahan Dualla 2-7 Moyne Templetuohy 0-6

Goals win games and it was two second half goals proved to be the difference last Wednesday evening. Boherlahan Dualla started well and had the first score of the game from Eoin Moloughney. He doubled the lead shortly after from a free when Charlie Ryan was foul on the way to goals. The first half was a tight affair with both teams looking to make the most of counter attacks. The half time score had Boherlahan Dualla up 0-3 to 0-2 at the break. Boherlahan Dualla started the brighter with a point from Ross Darcy. The first goal came shortly afterwards when the ever alert Moloughney pounced on an errant Moyne pass to slot the ball into an empty net. The second goal came from a penalty when Paddy Gahan was pulled down. Moloughney rifled the ball home to put daylight between the two teams. There was strong performances throughout the team. Richard Delaney was a safe per of hands between the sticks with his long range kick outs proving fruitful all evening. The full back line of Darragh Ryan, Ned Ryan and Cormac Casey were as solid as you could want ensuring that Moyne for the most point were forced to shoot from distance. Eugene O’Dwyer was a rock at centre back. Our wings backs of Dean Mulcaire and Bobby Power and Wing forwards of Robby Darcy and Shane Tarrant ably supported the midfield due duo Dylan Fogarty and Ross Darcy when it came to covering ground in the modern game. Eoin Moloughney led the attack from Centre forward and was imperious whether from the hand or place balls all night. In the full forward line Paddy Gahan and Charlie Ryan were constant thorns in the Moyne Templetuohy side with Josh Fahy providing the link up on the edge of the square. Modern football is a 20 man game and we were fortunate to have a strong subs bench to which included John Trainor, Sean Burke, Diarmuid Coffey, Tadhg O’Donnell Ben Kirby, Cian FitzGerald, Muirí Lambe Cormac Gleeson and Jake Canny. Boherlahan Dualla will face Galtee Rovers in the county semi-final in the next couple of weeks.

Mid Junior B Football Championship final

Boherlahan Dualla 1-12 Upperchurch Drombane 0-6

Mid Football finals are a bit like buses, you wait for one and two come along together and on Saturday evening our Junior B’s travelled to Holycross to take on a buoyant Upperchurch Drombane club who are on a crest of a wave as they strive to do the double. It was a slow start from both teams marked with poor decision making and wayward shooting a possible symptom of the long lay-off from the semi-final. After 15 mins Boherlahan Dualla led 0-3 to 0-2. As the half progressed our forwards started to adjust their targeting sights led by Seamie Leahy on the edge of the square and went in at half time leading 7 points to 4. A fortuitous goal from James Murphy on the 14th min left Boherlahan Dualla leading 1-8 to 0-6 and eventually finished the tie as a contest as neither team pushed on for the final 15 minutes. In truth, given that both teams were through to a county quarter final, neither team over exerted themselves and will be content to come through with a full squad for the next day. Foremost for Boherlahan Dualla on the day was Niall O’Dwyer in the middle of the field along with Mossy burke and Brian Carrig Next up we face Éire Óg Annacarthy in the county quarter final over the weekend of the 16th October. Dates, Times and Venues to be confirmed during the week.
