Boherlahan Dualla GAA Club
County Intermediate Championship
Boherlahan Dualla 3-21 Kilsheelan Kilcash 3-21 (Kilsheelan won 4-3 on penalties)
Perhaps the cruellest way to exit to a county championship, but while there was obvious disappointment there was a sense of pride felt by all in the performance of our young intermediate team. Playing with the aid of a strong breeze Kilsheelan went in at half team leading be 1-8 to 1-4. The Boherlahan goal curtesy of James O’Sullivan. Boherlahan were looking for a good start but it was Kilsheelan who stuck with two goals to extend their lead to 9 points mid-way through the second half. A goal from Aidan Maher signalled the start of the fight back and with Tossy Ryan unerring over placed ball, the lead was cut to 3 points with time almost up. A late free from outside the 20m line was saved by the Kilsheelan goalie only for captain Seamie Leahy following up to smash the ball to the back of the net with the last puck of the game to the delight of the large Boherlahan Dualla following sending the game to extra time. Extra time was a tight affair, Kilsheelan led by the minimum at the break and at the final whistle two great teams could not be separated. Penalties are unfortunately a necessary evil and it was Kilsheelan prevailed on the day and we wish them the best of luck in the County Championship

Boherlahan Dualla Ladies Football
What a great end to the 2022 season for our U10 footballers. A big thank you to all involved within county board for organising the afternoon, which ran very smoothly.
The girls enjoyed matches against Brian Boru's (x2), Thurles Sars, Moyne Templetuohy, Cahir, Cappawhite, Holycross and Galtee Rovers. The future of Boherlahan Dualla LGFA is in very safe hands. Thank you to all the parents for bringing the girls along to today's blitz, but also the training sessions and other matches/blitz's throughout the season. The girls really benefited from every single event and have grown from strength to strength. We hope that everyone has enjoyed the year and look forward to welcoming everyone back next year. Don't let those football's gather dust!!
A special thank you to head coach Peter Gleeson, Ciara Hickey and assistants Leah Baskin, Leah Kavanagh and Ciara Gahan.
Best of luck to our two adult teams who are in the County finals next weekend. On Saturday our Junior team take on Loughmore Castleiney at 2pm in Golden and on Sunday at 12pm our Intermediate team take on Mullinahone in Bansha. Best of luck to all and all support gratefully appreciated.
