Dillon Quirke RIP

The Boherlahan Dualla Camógie, Ladies Football, Juvenile and GAA clubs wish to extend our sincerest and most heartfelt sympathies to Dan, Hazel, Shannon and Kellie and to the extended Quirke and Friday families, including the Quirke family Nodstown, on the sad and untimely passing of Dillon. Sympathies also to his Clonoulty Rossmore and Tipperary Gaa teammates, to the Clonoulty Rossmore GAA Club and Community. We also remember in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time, the Kilruane players, Referee Michael Kennedy, Linemen’s men and umpires and all affected by Dillion’s tragic passing.

The Hurler's Prayer

Grant me O Lord, a hurler's skill,

With strength of arm and speed of limb

Unerring eye for the flying ball

And courage to match whate'er befall

May my stroke be steady and my aim be true

My actions manly and my misses few

No matter what way the game may go

May I rest in friendship with every foe

When the final whistle for me has blown

And I stand at last before God's judgement throne

May the great referee when he calls my name

Say, you hurled like a man; you played the game.

Seamus Redmond

Dualla Show

After a break of two years, The Dualla Show is back on Sunday 28th August. It promises to be a high-quality event with the best in livestock, show jumping, stalls, food and demos - not to mention the premier truck show in the country, a completely free circus and incredible free kids entertainment. This year's Dualla Show also brings you a superb music line-up with our own fabulous Trudi Lalor hosting a quality lineup of country music artists including Mick Flavin, Brendan Shine, Paul Kelly, T.R. Dallas, Sabrina Fallon and Aisling Rafferty. Music starts at 2pm on the big stage and will continue throughout the afternoon with a large dance floor.

It’s only though the hard work of the show committee and its team of volunteers is such an event possible. Ní neart go cur le chéile. If anyone else is available for Stewarding etc. can you please let Sean Moloughney know!

Weekly Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s lotto worth €5,800. The numbers drawn were 26-27-28-29. Next week’s Lotto jackpot is €6,000. Congratulations to our five luck dips winners, Kelly Moylan, Kieran Sweeney, Kathleen O’Dwyer, Tony Cuddily, & Jerry O’Dwyer who all won €50 each.

Supporting the lotto each and every week means so much to our club and our community. From as little as €2 per week, our lotto covers the costs for the upkeep and maintenance of our pitches and facilities including the walkway. It is raising funds for our complex redevelopment as we seek to expand and modernise for our ever growing club.
