Juvenile club
Cúl Camp is in full swing this week so it is a busy time for lots of our younger members with over 150 boys and girls taking part this year. The weather promises to be good for the week as well. Our U9 boys travelled to Clonoulty on Saturday morning for a very entertaining blitz. Well done to all involved.
On Saturday morning last our U13’s hurlers got their campaign off to a great start in the U13A mid Championship with a fine win over neighbours Holycross on Saturday as well.
Our U15’s took on Drom & Inch in the opening round of the U15B Mid championship where they came up short despite a spirited fight back. Next up on this Thursday 14th we welcome Moycarkey Borris in the next round of the North/Mid U15B competition.
Mid Tipp U17A championship
Boherlahan Dualla 1-12
JK Brackens 1-14
The U17 Competition kicked off on Monday evening last with a close game at home to JK Brackens but we unfortunately came up short. Brackens continue their run of good results in Boherlahan having captured their first Mid title the day before. The competition continues next Monday 18th with a game in the Ragg vs Drom & Inch.
Big thank you to Marcus O’Dwyer of Texaco/Mace Service Station for his generous sponsorship of jerseys for our U17 team.
Mid Tipp Junior A Championship
Boherlahan Dualla 2-13
Loughmore Castleinery 1-16
On last Friday evening our Junior hurlers welcomed Loughmore Castleiney in the second round of the Junior A Mid Championship. It was a tight affair with little between the teams and a pointed free by Loughmore with virtually the final puck of the game ensured honours were shared. Next up will be a trip to Littleton to take on Moycarkey Borris in the final game of the round robin series with everything still to play for.
Mid Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Final
Next Sunday 17th July our Intermediate hurlers take on Drom-Inch in Littleton at 12pm in the Roadstone Intermediate Mid Hurling Championship Final. Results between the two teams in recent years have shown that there isn’t much between either of them and with the weather forecast to be good, a cracking game is expected. All support would be gratefully appreciated.
Weeky Lotto
There was no winner of this week’s lotto worth €5,000. The numbers drawn were 2 – 8 -17-26. Next week’s Lotto jackpot is €5,200. Congratulations to our five luck dips winners, Sinead Smyth, Patricia Lee, Esther Kavanagh, Mary Heney Margaret Tuohy who all won €50 each.
Supporting the lotto each and every week means so much to our club and our community. From as little as €2 per week, our lotto covers the costs for the upkeep and maintenance of our pitches and facilities including the walkway. It is raising funds for our complex redevelopment as we seek to expand and modernise for our ever growing club.
